Cool, a Mopar guy! Got any pics? We love photo's around here. I had a '51 Plymouth Business Coupe once, quite a few years ago. Car didn't look too bad at first glance, but turned out it was rotted worse than I thought and didn't have the time (or money) to do much with it at the time. Only paid $75 for it. Sold it to someone else and have never seen it again. Wonder what ever happened to it???? Welcome to the club and forums also, by the way!

I  pulled a 7yr. project out of the garage this past June.  She's not quite finished yet but we're getting there.  She's a 1968 Pontiac Firebird. From a frame off restoration that included a front disc brake conversion and changing the old pontiac motor to a 454cu.in.BB Chev. Also changed the orig. 3spd to a 4spd. Got a great sound with Hedman Headers, ceramic coated, and Flowmaster dual exaust.  Would love to post some pics. so I could get some feedback but I don't know how to reduce the size of the file in my pic files so they will post as an attachment.  If anyone can guide me through it, I'd love to get some pics. posted.  Thanks.

Ken

Hey 51 Nice coupe you have there. My Dad had a 50 business coupe that I wanted to keep, but that was before I got my license and so didn't have much say in it. I have two '65 barracudas and a '64 Valiant convertible, so yes there are a few MOPAR fans here.

It's only metal, It does not know if it is on a 50 Merc, or on a Lambo. Make it do what you want.

I do not have much I-6 experience, but usually if you call the Offenhouser (or most intake manufacturers) techline they are very helpful with compatability type questions.

Any I-6 enthusiasts on here?

Good luck nedmyr2

A 68 Impala Covertable. I bought it for 800.00 when all said and done. It was smacked hard on the front right side but a running and driving car. I finally decided to restore it back in 04' and after upgrading to a BBC i'm on the last few things to do. And by the way this is a frame up restore done in my gravel driveway!! I tell people this and they have a hard time believing until I show them pics.  a lot of pics. of lifting the body off etc..in a 14' X 22' garage. Just goes to show it can be done.

Just a note on " OLDIES "   I'm the proud owner of a 1951 chevy 2dr. ht. Deluxe Belair. I bought this old girl in June of 2006 from my buddy Dave Kahmyer in Weatherford, Ok.

Dave owned this car for 18 yrs. Its a custom hotrod with a 1967 350 hi-performace and a 4spd. I'm guessing from a SS Camaro. The engine is still factory stock with under 60,000 mis.

The car is still a rust free jewel, even though it's been up here with me in up- state New York [ no winter rides for this thing ].

The black diamond tuck electric bucket seats, and 35 yr. old root beer color paint job need restoring, along with the headliner, hard to find glass, and certain stainless steel trim pieces.

I'm currently dressing up the engine with new paint and chrome covers, air cleaner etc. and polishing the 35 yr. old aluminum slot wheels. The only things that I've changed from the original 350, is a aftermarket altenator, and point-less ignition system with a hotter coil.   She runs like the champ she was made to be. I just hope the weather breaks so my fiancee and I can take her out for a good ole' thrashin. I'll try sending photo's as I progress.       Brian Lacey
