In Minn. it bounces around alot. Depends on where you go. Within a 50 mile radius it will fluctuate agout 15 cents. Here in my part of the state it is $2.84. Lately I have been wondering what I would need to do to the Cuda (besides the jets and fuel pump) to run E85. That's about $.50 cheaper the regular and alot higher octane rating.

Actually stayed at $2.99 today. Was thinking back to high schoold days when gas was around $.90/gallon for unleaded OR leaded (remember that stuff?) When I got my drivers license in 1980 it was over $1.00/ gallon but about a year later it dropped to under a buck and stayed there for quite a while, if memory serves. After school job at the supermarket for $2.65/hr still didn't buy much gas though!

Gas prices are spastic around here, up/down/up/down. This week example starting Sunday for 87: $3.99, $3.93, $4.07, $3.97, $3.95 and today as of 5pm it is $4.02 a gallon. It's like pick a fricking price and leave it alone! Take a look at the first post from May 1, 2007 and the price. Ah, the good old days.

I talked to my son currently serving in the Army in Iraq, gas prices are .16 cents a gallon over there. Here in Redford MI, Regular gas is back down to around $3.99 a gal @ Speedway, $4.29 @ gal for 92 Octaine. I pulled in to Speedway and put $15.00 in my 69 Camaro and it gave me 3.49 gals., barely moved the gage needle, but it's enough to get me to one of our local car criuse at the VFW @ 5:00 every Tuesday for a couple weeks. 454 (+.060 over bore) 671 blower, two 750 Carter carbs, 4 speed, 350 gears out back, actually, this thing gets pretty good gas milage as long a you keep your foot out of it. It's very reliable too, we take it almost anywhere. We got over 14.5 MPG on a trip down to Ohio a couple sommers ago with my wife and daughter in it going to a picnic.

i hear ya alien x, i sold my freightliner when gas hit 2.25. i heard that there is a bill in congress that would require 100% of the fuel surcharges to go to the purchaser; but even it passes, it would probably be to little to late 67 galaxie 500, 72 grand prix, 71 cutlass...and a 440 mopar and other parts for projects i don't even own yet. if it ain't broke...you aren't trying hard enough

This is pretty neat. Just enter your zip code in the site below, and it tells you which gas stations have the cheapest prices (and the highest) on gas in your zip code area. It's updated every evening.

I remember when gas hit the unheard of price of $1.25/gal! When I started driving in 1980 it was about $1.09 then a few months later we were buying it for 89 cents for 93 octane (which is now $4.29). I don't know of anyplace that sells E85 around here anymore. There were a few stations at first but they've all dropped it because of lack of demand and very low sales volume. The Rib Mountain PetroMart sells 110 octane (off-road only leaded fuel) for $5.99/gal these days which almost seems like a bargain, relatively speaking.

Man, we are getting a bargain around here compared with CA, 87 octane dropped a bit to $3.93/gallon today. I believe diesel is at $4.56 and the "Premium" diesel is $4.82 a gallon. Just heard our illustrious President is urging congress to drop the ban (or whatever it is) on domestic off shore drilling. First thing he's done right in 7 1/2 years! BTW, Obama opposes this type of thing and McCain is for it. Just food for thought. Maybe, just maybe the powers that be are finally starting to wake up and see the reality of their actions the last 30 years. Sounds like that "Drill Now" web petition that one member posted (sorry, don't remember who you are off the top of my head right now) may be having a positive effect. From what I've heard, the politicians actually have acknowledged it. We'll see if it goes any further though. Mr. Badwrench, that's who it was!

For the past month 87 was bouncing around between 1.87 and 1.99 in this part of Pa. Some what stable for several days! Unlike a year ago when it would change 3 times in the same day, as the stock market flucuated! MO-PAR to U

1.95 at one station, 1.99 at the next. Seems like a real bargain compaired to the prices a year ago! Yeah, that's what the want you to think! They're still makeing thousands of dollars profit Per Day! With warmer weather starting to set in, you know the price is only going to go one way! MO-PAR to U
