I do appriciate the mental images of the 70's and 80's! Thank you! Not exactly what it's like here. Last night we had a thunderstorm from hell. Not sure how much it rained but sounded like at least a foot! Wind up to 60 mph, thunder that almost knocks you right out of bed, the works. Oddly though, this all happened and it was less than 40 degrees out. Today, the sleet started around 9am, turned to snow around 11 am (HEAVY snow). It hasn't stopped since, looks like a blizzard out there, the roads are one big slippery, sloppy, dangerous slushfest. Temp is 32 right now at 7 pm. This very heavy, very wet snow is not kind to trees either (makes limbs break off and crash to the ground). This crap is supposed to continue throughout the night. Sunday should be around 35 for a high, wow. I'm just really hopeful the 50's and 60's that are predicted later next week come true and, more importantly, stick around until the 70's, 80's and 90's get here in a couple months. Global warming my rear end. Maybe Al Gore can come shovel my driveway for me, what do you think?! :)

I just got back from a race in Reynolds Georgia and I think I'm the only one in the Chicago area who doesn't have a store bought tan!

Hope you got a really bad sunburn! ;) There is hope on the horizon once again. Tomorrow supposed to be 60, this coming Sunday they say 65 and nothing but sunshine. Now, if it gets that warm and stays warm from here on out, I'll be an extrememely happy person. We went from 64 and sun to 35 and snow the next weekend and now back to 65 and sun, feel like we're on a rollercoaster.

BTW, how'd you do at the race?

Hey Wheel*, you can feel free to send 10-15 of those degrees up my way. You can keep the humidity though! We are stuck in the mid 70's still. It just refuses to be a "normal" temp and it's windy VERY SINGLE FREAKING DAY.  Last Wednesday evening I had to wear a jacket and stocking cap while planting some shrubs in the yard. Woke up this morning to a sweltering 58 degrees and what else, wind. Shouldn't complain though, it's way better than having high temps below zero. Oh, did I mention it pretty much has been raining all the time? Rain for 3 days, decent for one day, then rain the next 3 days, etc. Soon the weather pattern will change and the 80's and 90's will arrive, I hope! :)

Central PA has been real hot. A break from the humidity today...Still in the 80's. They say we'll have some 70's all this week. Finally shut off the air conditioners. I hate air conditioning !

Air conditioning? We haven't had any weather to use it yet. Today it did get to 79 degrees. Felt warm in the sun, but actually a little chilly in the shade (humidity was only about 29% all day with the usually non-stop wind again). It's Wisconsin though, if you don't like the weather, wait a minute! Thirty below zero in February, 105 above zero in July! Give me the 105 any day of the week. Fortunatley, at least the past few years, the humidity is in the 25-50% range most summer days. 105 isn't as bad as it sounds with 25% humidity. Voltage is saying "25%, wow that's high!" right?

Sorry for dragging this old thing back up, but gotta love weather in Wisconsin these days. Yesterday it was darn close to 80 out, felt warm in the sun but actually a bit chilly in the shade. Not sure what the humidity was but it must have been very low. Worked in the garage with everything opened up and it was very comforatable. Now today comes and it got up to the sweltering temp of 63 with the usual wind we seem to ALWAYS have. Chicago's got nothing on us for wind I think! Actually turned the heat back on out in the shop. End of June and you need to have the heat on during the day. What gives???????????????? Oh well, don't take this as complaining again. OK, maybe it is a bit ;)  Damn global warming anyways! Wait a minute, warming? Have a nice day. :)

Aspen,it was a figure of speech...its been kind of a funny post at times, and sometimes the only post that everyone was posting on at all it seems.Stop and think about it,if theres one subject even strangers can talk about in a airport,or cafe or almost anyhwere in the world,it's the weather...i for one am just tired of being trapped in the house because of high temps and high humidity...while some of you folks would kill for warm weather,i'm looking forward to our mid 70's days, and sad to say, that only lasts for about a month at most here. So,with that said, get your butt out there, work on that car,and show us more pics..looks like your getting back into the mode, maybe we'll get ot see a burnout video sometime this year, providing it doesn't turn back into ice and snow where your at.

Well, even though I said i wouldn't bring it up again........................Ever have "one of those days"? Anyways, I'm happy now (finally) as it appears summer weather has arrived at long last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  84 degrees today, it's about freaking time. Looks as if it's supposed to pretty much stay like this for awhile.

As for working on the Aspen, yes I am in the mode now. Didn't get to work on it tonight, was out mowing the lawn from 5:30 'till now. Shower felt so nice! Now that the lawn is taken care of for a few days, tomorrow it's back to the garage. Why not go out there for a bit tonight yet you ask? Just too darn worn out.

Aspen, i'd be glad to trade weather with you right now,we've had three 100 degree days this week...not much you can do in the, with double digit humidty and dew figures...Can't wait to see you get that thing back on the road, its been a long time up on the rollers or stands.Think I need to go to Orions and rent a space, his shop has a/c...might be the only way I get anything done anytime soon.Keep us up to date Aspen...yea,thanks,I was just having one of those days.

My shop is air conditioned, but my house isn't. Wonder where my priorities are??????? Obviously I'm not going to spray paint in a closed garage with the A/C running, but it's nice to have when doing  non-flammable/non-toxi work!
